Photonic therapy is a safe, effective, noninvasive, scientifically advanced procedure, developed by Dr Brian McLaren, an Australian Equine Veterinarian and the highest qualified equine & human acupuncturist in Australia.

Photonic therapy uses a red light to gently stimulate the horses own capacity to reduce pain, increase the immune system and promote healing.

Red light is transformed into electrical energy by the connecting tissue under the skin. This electrical energy is transmitted to the brain by the nerves. Stimulating specific points on the skin will cause the brain to release particular hormones and other chemicals to release pain, increase immune response and promote healing.

The red light is placed on the horses skin over various acupuncture points on the horses body, for 5 - 10 seconds per point, on each side of the horse plus any sore points that the animal may have.
