Mandy stumbled into working with horses after finally stopping and asking them why they kept on shouting at her. She began to listen and discovered that she could be their voice.
Mandy works as a mediator, to enhance relationships between animals and their people; looking at the situation from all angles. Using energy healing and animal communication to restore the balance and well-being of all.
She also uses techniques that she has developed from her experiences with people as a nurse and life coach. She specialises with clients who have confidence issues. Therefore, her NLP practitioner skills come to the fore. And then on a more left brained angle, she uses equine science to help explain horses’ behaviour.
Although she works with ALL animals and people, her best work to date has been with horses needing empathy and patience following emotional/physical trauma. As well as first time horse owners needing guidance. With all this Mandy also uses her experiences as a horsewoman...
Not many years on the clock, but her own horse has blessed her well with coming up with a number of ‘traumas’ – such as having to lunge him bronking in her yard owner’s garden Boxing Day night! – And she can honestly say that is one of the mildest moments! – She is relieved to say that she (and her horse!) can laugh about it now... At the time though she was so lost, simply fed up with so-called experienced horse people telling her he needed a 'good hiding'! That she should also starve him, so that he would be more amenable to train. She spent hundreds of pounds searching for the right trainer, buying expensive equipment and joining so called natural horsemanship organisations.
There are many brilliant, experienced horse people out there who are fantastic. However, she was surprised that many (not all) forgot to look at things from the horse’s point of view and sadly there are many people in the industry who do not understand equus. Something just did not feel right; she knew her horse was trying to tell her something.
And so very slowly she began to listen and thanks to Zac (and several courses along the way!) she has become the person she needed to help her that Boxing Day night; when he’d barged through her and her husband and danced all over that garden!
